Brian counsels corporate and individual clients in varying litigation contexts with a focus on construction, product and premises liability, and real estate litigation. He concentrates his construction practice on defending builders from claims of construction deficiencies, breach of contract, and other tort claims. He also has extensive experience in defending construction managers, engineers and other professionals in negligence suits. Product liability claims are another area of emphasis of Brian’s litigation practice as he has successfully defended clients in industries ranging from amusement rides to aerospace. In the arena of real estate litigation, he frequently represents commercial brokers in matters related to commission disputes and professional liability claims.
Brian’s clients include some of the largest and most respected construction firms in California, specialty contractors, product designers and manufacturers, and real estate professionals. He also has significant experience serving as insurance appointed counsel for carriers such as AIG, Zurich, Arch, Interstate Fire & Casualty, and Navigators, as well as several third party administrators.
Currently serving his third term as Co-Chair of the Construction Law Committee of the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, Brian has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Southern California four consecutive years and was named a Top Attorney by Pasadena Magazine from 2009 – 2015. He has also has served as a Mandatory Settlement Conference referee for the Los Angeles County Superior Court.
