Carmel Imani is an associate in the Orange County office of Mokri Vanis & Jones where her wide-ranging litigation practice focuses on complex litigation, including insurance defense and coverage, premises liability, personal injury, products liability, and construction. Prior to joining this firm, Carmel successfully defended and settled numerous subrogation claims, personal injury and medical malpractice claims. She has extensive experience handling all stages of litigation from initial pleadings through discovery, depositions, law and motion, expert discovery, and trial preparation.
Carmel received her Juris Doctorate from UC Davis School of Law, where she also served on the law schools Admissions Committee. While in law school, Ms. Imani advocated for clients in deportation proceedings, and petitioned on behalf of multinational and Fortune 500 companies to obtain visas for their employees. Carmel was born and raised in Southern California and speaks fluent Persian and conversational Spanish.
