About
Emma Plotnik is an Associate Attorney at Mokri Vanis & Jones, LLP. Emma’s practice areas include construction defect, personal injury, real property, insurance fraud, and workers’ compensation. Emma initially began working with MVJ as a Law Clerk and Apprentice after her first year of law school and continued her position as a Post-Bar Law Clerk prior to working as an Attorney.
Emma graduated from the Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, where she was awarded a full-tuition academic scholarship. While in law school, she was a recipient of the Ronald L. Fick Book Award for earning the highest grade in State Civil Pretrial Practice and Procedure. Emma also served as a member of Regent Law’s nationally recognized Moot Court Board and was a selected oralist and brief writer for the Touro Law Center National Moot Court Competition in Law and Religion.
An Orange County native, Emma graduated Summa Cum Laude from Chapman University. At Chapman, Emma combined her passions for music and law by interning in the criminal defense division of a national law firm and serving as a member of Opera Chapman. She was selected to participate in the university’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program and was a winner of the Kevin and Tam Ross Undergraduate Research Prize and the Music History Award for outstanding research and information literacy. Prior to attending law school, Emma worked in marketing and development for an award-winning nonprofit arts and cultural center.
