Laura A. Free is an Associate Attorney in the Newport Beach office of Mokri Vanis & Jones, LLP. Her practice focuses on high-exposure general liability litigation, with an emphasis on catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, and commercial disputes.

Prior to joining Mokri Vanis & Jones, Ms. Free spent several years as a senior associate at a prominent Los Angeles law firm working with many of Southern California’s top trial attorneys and served as staff legal counsel for an international insurance company. Her experience includes obtaining a federal class action summary judgment in favor of her clients, second-chairing a trial which resulted in a complete defense verdict in a $65 million premises liability matter, and obtaining numerous advantageous settlements.

Ms. Free earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School, and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. While in law school, Ms. Free served as Chair of the Board of Governors for the Moot Court Honors Program, and as a Student Staff Attorney in Southwestern’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, where she briefed and argued a pro bono immigration case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
