Richard A. DiCorrado

About

Richard A. DiCorrado has 39 years of experience in civil litigation. He has devoted his practice to the investigation of health care fraud and to high severity personal injury litigation. He has represented clients in first party and third-party litigation in thousands of cases. He has extensive jury trial experience and has participated in hundreds of arbitration hearings. Mr. DiCorrado has presented lectures on the topics of claim modeling, reimbursement-based medicine, interventional spinal procedures/surgery, factoring, and litigation financing to multiple insurance carriers and professional organizations.

He has specialized in the litigation of insurance fraud in California. Mr. DiCorrado has successfully taken to verdict several affirmative fraud actions pursuant to the Insurance Fraud Prevention Act – Insurance Code 1871.7, against law firms, medical providers, home health care companies and workers’ compensation applicants.

In addition, Mr. DiCorrado and Mokri, Vanis & Jones partner, Eric J. Danowitz have been court appointed as a Carrier Liaison Counsel in over 40 Special Adjudication Unit consolidations brought before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board since 2017, which has led to the dismissal of over $300 million dollars in medical provider liens.
